My best friend, and the director of the college’s summer tech program, has a great idea for teaching the class. He wants to teach the students to be more self-aware about their technology usage. The idea is to use their phones, computers, and devices to learn and grow.

Sure, that sounds like a lot of cool stuff to me. In fact, I am actually considering doing this myself. I am a huge fan of technology, and I think it would be great to get students to think about how they are using their technology, then share their ideas with us. The best way to do this is to start by giving students a couple of examples of things they use without thinking.

This brings us to the first of the three steps of the self-awareness exercise—examples, which I will cover in the next paragraph. Examples are things that you do, things you say, and things you do or say with more frequency than you would normally.

I’ve been a big fan of using examples for my students. You can use examples to explain why something is the way it is, or why a certain action is a good thing or bad thing, or why your behavior is actually a good thing or a bad thing. You can also use examples to share how you want to affect things or how you want your behavior to affect things.

I just recently spent a few hours looking at some of the most widely used examples, and I think I can say that using them is a great way to bring people into the world of self-awareness. In fact, it seems that if you use three or four examples you can actually change the way people think about themselves. Of course, that’s only true if you use examples correctly.

You’ll also need to keep in mind that there are some things you can only control if you can have a clear and specific vision for them. For example, how you decide to spend your time in your day will have a major impact on how often you’ll get bored.
